Lucky Rituals You Can Do to Attract Wealth, Love and Money!

One reason for introducing the principles of Feng Shui into the home is to bring luck to all who live there, so knowing how to get that luck is an important part of the process. It is also a lot of fun, and can make for some interesting decor that is sure to become conversation pieces when friends and family visit.

Many animals are considered lucky in Chinese culture, so consider them helpers around the house, bringing luck and financial success. Once you know where the major kuas areas related to money, love, career and suchlike are located in your home, you can add lucky animals to bring success and wealth.

1) Dragons bring good fortune and power, unless you were born under the sign of the Dog, which is the opposite of Dragon. Also bringing power and luck are Fu Dogs, which usually come in pairs and these should go on either side of a doorway, so they offer protection, too.

2) The whimsical Three-Legged Toad brings wealth and they are usually shown sitting next to stacks of gold coins so place one in a Wealth gua to bring money. If you are hoping to bring more happiness into your home, decorate with Bats. Two bats bring double happiness, so double up!

3) Cranes attract wisdom and long life, while Fish are extra lucky and they attract money and all sorts of success, and represent perseverance (after all, they swim upstream!)

4) For the best luck and prosperity, decorate with an elephant, especially one with its trunk raised. The elephant represents intelligence, strength and kindness. For that extra luck, get a statue that holds an ear of corn, which represents abundance.

5) One fine ritual for attracting luck to the home is to use a Dilbu bell to call Buddha and the other deities. The bell is balanced to harmonically create certain tones that call the outer world, usually done by rubbing it with a wooden stick. A Dorje is a representation of a lightning bolt which should be held in the right hand, symbolizing the masculine yang power, while the bell is held in the left hand, to represent the feminine power of profound wisdom. When both are used in a ceremony along with ritual prayer, they form a force of purity.

6) Many Chinese people swear by special wish boxes made of porcelain, clay or some other earth-based material. Place a wish, written on a piece of paper, inside the box, which has a mirror on the inside of the lid. Make a prayer or do a ritual to amplify the power of your wish, and then seal the box. Many wish boxes have Lucky Cats painted on the lid, shown with their paws raised to accept the good luck.

7) Another special luck ritual is done with three Chinese coins, the type with holes in the center. The coins are tied together with a red ribbon. The color red is a very lucky color. To attract good fortune and money, luck, place the three Chinese coins in a red envelope and carry with you in your pocket or handbag. If you are hoping for luck in business, tape the envelope under your desk or computer, or attach it to your cash register. This ritual brings money luck, and you should see results in no time!

The New Year is a time of transition, and many people find that it isa good time to use a luck ritual for the year ahead. Almost every culture has luck rituals for the New Year, in fact, including the Chinese.

Feng shui rituals include cleaning the home thoroughly to remove all dust and debris from the old year and getting them out of the home. Get rid of all the dust bunnies in corners and bits of debris under the couch. Old debts should be paid off whenever possible, to start the new year with a clean slate.

The beginning of any new year is also a great time to bring new objects into the home, such as appliances, linens, furniture, curtains and even clothes. You should do everything in your power to start the new year with a home that is free of old energy. But on New Year Day, do not sweep your floor as this would mean sweeping your new luck away! In many homes, brooms are hidden on the first day of the year, and no one should be allowed to sweep the floor!

Some other new year luck rituals are to bring mandarin oranges to friends and family when you visit (and you should receive oranges from them in return). Some families even have a New Year Eve reunion dinner so that the entire family can see out the old year together and, on Chinese New Year, the famous lion dance ritual is performed to bless homes and businesses with powerful energy. If you are opening a new business, it is always a good idea to bring in a lion dancing troupe on an auspicious day to kick start your new business!

The Little Known Secret About Wealth Vases and How To Make Them

One of the more interesting accessories for a feng shui enthusiast to include in their home is the wealth vase, a vase filled with personal items that are precious to the owner, which is said to attract luck.

To make your own luck vase, find a beautiful and, preferably, valuable vase to hold your precious items. The vase can be made of earth elements or metal, although earth vases are more effective.

Earth vases can be made from porcelain, crystal or clay, while metal element vases can be made of copper, brass, silver, or gold.

If you are designing your vase to serve as an interesting decorative item, crystal will allow you to see the items inside the vase, but any of the above materials will do if you cannot afford a solid gold vase.

The best shape for a wealth vase is one with a wide opening that narrows to a more slender neck and then widens to a squat, sturdy body. This way, wealth energy can flow easily into the vase and then settle in the broader bottom of the vase, where it will remain and gather more wealth for years to come. The vase can be any size that you like. It must have a cover of some sort, preferably a matching lid of the same material.

To assemble your wealth vase, begin with the right attitude. Know that you are assembling your vase to bring prosperity to your family for many years to come. This is not a get-rich-quick spell, it is purely a wish for your entire family to accumulate wealth for a long time, and a desire for no member of your family to ever be poor. If you make your wealth vase with the right attitude, you are sending a signal to the universe to manifest your wishes for you! This method of making the wealth vase is very powerful.

The most essential ingredients should go into your vase first is the soil, food and then the symbols of prosperity. The soil should be placed in the bottom first, and if possible, it should be the soil from the garden of a wealthy person. This is especially lucky if you have received the soil as a gift. You want the good chi of a wealthy home in the bottom of the vase.

Next, add three, six or nine Chinese coins tied with red string. Then fill half of the vase with seven types of semi-precious stones, like amethyst, citrine, clear quartz, topaz, tiger’s eye, malachite, coral, lapis lazuli, sodalite, cornelian, jade, pearl, jasper, aquamarine, crystal, rose quartz, or turquoise.

The essential items for your wealth vase are:

a) A figure if a Wealth God (can be any Wealth God you feel an affinity with)

b) Five Gem Globes to signify wealth from all directions

c) Assorted crystal chips to signify wealth from the earth

d) Gold bars – contemporary symbols of wealth

e) Gold ingot – ancient symbols of wealth

f) Faux diamonds to signify the most precious treasures

g) Wish-fulfilling jewels to make all your aspirations manifest

h) 3 brass coins tied with red/gold string for current wealth

i) 9 emperor coins for wealth under all circumstances

j) Semi-precious stones for accumulation of assets

k) A lock coin to safeguard your wealth

l) I-ching coins to pacify all obstacles

m) Six smooth crystal balls for harmony in the family

n) 5 types of food to signify abundance

o) A Ru Yi to signify power and management of the household

Whatever you use to fill your vase, it should fill completely to the top. If there is still a gap at the top, fill it the rest if the way with semi-precious stones.

If you have used an earth element vase, place it in the southwest or northeast corner of your home. If you used a metal vase, place it in the west or northwest corner.

When your vase is finished you must close it and cover it with five colored cotton cloth (to signify the five elements) and tie it tight with five strings of five colors. It should be kept somewhere away from where others can see it, and never facing the front door, as this will drain the wealth luck from the vase. The best place to store your wealth vase is the inside of your cupboard in your own bedroom.

Tapping the Potential of the Mind

Before you knew your ABC’s and were still struggling to manage a knife and fork, your inner self had been making mathematical and chemical calculations far beyond the abilities of modern science. With the fuel of proper nutrition, our organs perform perfectly and we are rarely conscious of them or their functions, until we interfere with the work of the subconscious.

The more charitable of authorities say our conscious mind operates at about 10 per cent of its potential. This means that 90 per cent of our true intellect is dormant, unused, and out of conscious reach. Other experts, less generous, contend that 1 per cent conscious mind and 99 per cent subconscious are more accurate percentages. Obviously, we are far from efficient mentally, and something is very wrong with this situation.

A man is just as well and just as able and just as conscious as he is capable of directing his attention and concentration to the present now. Whether one worries about his tomorrows today or spends his time reliving his past yesterdays, of one thing he may be certain: he is scattering his forces (consciousness) and dissipating his attention, which is the very essence of life energy itself.

One may consistently dissipate his attention by directing it to his past, on the failures sustained or on the losses and sadness of past experiences, until he grows weary and forgetful. It is possible to experience physical and mental bankruptcy at any age. Chronic scattering of attention can produce neurosis. When the attention of the mentally disturbed patient is imprisoned by the past, leaving no attention for now, we recognize the symptoms of psychosis. A man without attention parted with his abilities, one by one, as he descended into the morass of effects, confusion, forgetfulness, ill-health, and failure.

The mind forgets nothing. No thought, no impression, no emotion is ever lost, for the mind, like a photographic plate, preserves and records everything that has happened to you since birth. True, your ability to recall may be dulled, but the memories are there, buried in that vast storehouse – the subconscious.

The more subjective a man’s thinking becomes, the less he remembers. The less he communicates with others, the less able he is to communicate, and the more his memory suffers. Attention must be used if it is to avoid the hazards of deterioration. Attention and memory are interdependent and furnish the most accurate mental yardstick for determining man’s well-being.

As long as we have command of most of our attention, we are outgoing, we are communicating well with others, and we are reasonably healthy. Should we experience grief, sadness, or defeat for a sustained period and lose ourselves in the sad reflections of yesterday’s tragedies, we discover we are burying our attention as we continue to reflect upon the past. It is much as if we covered up a little of life with our bygone unhappy experiences and past mistakes. When we watch the grief-stricken wife or husband whose attention is caught in a whirlpool of sorrow, we witness the ebbing of life force, a striving toward death. Sustained grief can be fatal. In such cases there is no organic cause of death – just a lack of survival potential, much as if the force of life had been drained away. We hear it said: “He wanted to die,” or “He lost the will to live.”

Life energy flows from the highest levels of the subconscious mind and permeates our consciousness to the degree that we are able to receive it. Negative attitudes such as fear, grief, anger, insecurity, ill health, and so on inhibit and restrict this vital force of the subconscious and are the factors that dim and finally darken the flame of life. You will see how this life force, or buried attention, can be uncovered, restored, and again be put to use when you recognize the symptoms!

You will see why this inner man is not a mystical concept or philosophical probability, there is such a force! It is real, it does exist, and you are its master!

Elemental: The Formless Form

Elemental, this word is a sign post. It points towards what the mystics have searched for. It’s the formless form. It’s the first moment beyond the moment. It’s pure Truth; it’s that one total aware experience; when you not only live in the stream, you become the stream. It’s the place where all things exist. It is the True nature of the universe.

Living in alignment with this nature; we are all tied to this. When we live from this place we truly see, and all things are let go. Yet, this is not something that can be sought after; the seeking only leads to further separation. Even these words are empty, they are only pointing; they are a boat to be left behind once you reach the other side.

These words can seem very paradoxical. It is very difficult to talk about Truth, not truth as in relative facts “the sky is blue, etc” but Truth. It’s like telling some one to truly see, we always see with our eyes all the time so people become confused. True seeing goes beyond. It is to be entirely in the moment, so when you do see, you become seeing; there is no past, there is no future, there is no subject, there is no object, and there is no mind.

To practice Zen is to experience every moment in this way; completely and fully aware yet with no roots. It is to live from a place that goes beyond and transcends preconceived notions; where every moment is peaceful and you are a snowflake within the fire. This doesn’t mean that you become cold to emotions; it simply means that you are completely immersed in the moment with out being attached.

I use the word Elemental as a signpost to remind me to live in my element; from that place the universe becomes whole. It is no longer “my” element; it becomes the elemental nature of the universe that all of us share. When we live with that level of awareness at all times everything is complete. Not only does our life align with our True passion but we also live from a place that is compassionate and wholehearted.

You can work really hard to learn about this, you can read all the books on God, the Universe, Buddhism, Christ Consciousness, Taoism, Mindfulness, and Quantum Physics, but ultimately you would be served much better to simply listen to the nature within yourself. As the authority on your own life all the spiritual books in the world will only lead you back to what you already know.

There is nothing that you have to do. Chasing, seeking, searching, are all useless. There is nothing wrong with mental stimulation to help show you signs, but ultimately it would serve you more to simply calm the mind and listen to your true nature. The nature beyond the ego, beyond right and wrong, and beyond likes and dislikes.

All suffering in life is made manifest by lack of living from this place. When you have problems don’t try to stick a band aid on it, go back, go way back to the real cause. If you live in your Element every moment of every day and experience your True Self, it will end suffering on all levels.

Shane Lamotte (Born 1984) has developed a desire for knowledge of Zen, Taoism, Buddhism, Quantum Physics and all that involves the nature of reality. His vision includes creating music that gives its listeners a “wake-up call” to change society in a positive way. Go to http://www.livingillusion.com.

Tithing: How and Where to do it to Activate the Law of Ten-Fold Return

When our giving is out of balance, we can be stripped of a healthy sense of reciprocity and honoring boundaries. If you are giving too much then it can absolutely create a negative attractor pattern. When our giving leaves us feeling used, taken advantage of, and even abused, we must take a step back to re-assess our ‘giving intentions.’

If our giving is coming from a place of healthy generosity with no strings attached, then we are in alignment with healthy tithing.

However, if our giving intention is from a place of obligation, guilt, shame, a need to control, a need to make restitution for a wrong-doing, or a need to feel or be acknowledged as a certain ‘type’ of person; a need to be thought of as generous, powerful, or successful, for example, then this intention is out-of-balance and therefore our giving is out of balance.

Over-giving comes from a co-dependent need to be validated and cherished, which is always inspired by a lack of self-confidence and an inability to be our own source of happiness.

When we give to make up for our ‘inadequacy’, we will never be able to give enough to fill the void we feel inside.

The solution is the same as it is for any other ill-belief – to work towards pure self-confidence; to work towards fully embracing an absolute certainty of your unlimitedness; a belief and firm knowingness that you are indeed a Divine Child of God, worthy of all that you desire.

From this place, you’ll be inspired to give according to the higher order of life and not from a place of limitation.

Note, there’s a difference between a donation and a tithe. The two have different intentions and therefore different attractor patterns. When we donate to a cause, we are attached to the outcome. We are saying, “I believe in how this money will be spent and therefore I will give to you.” This attachment diminishes the vibration and therefore isn’t giving in the pure sense of the intention: to acknowledge God, the big-U (Universe), as the source and supply of all our good.

When we tithe to some source where we feel spiritually nourished, we are not giving in order to receive something in return. We are giving in acknowledgement only of a sense of spiritual fulfillment and a desire to simply honor God (the-All-that-is). We give with the pure intent of not being attached to how the money is used but we give in order to share, to spread the wealth, and to acknowledge the abundant, opulent, all-providing promise of our Divine Inheritance.

Both a donation and a tithe are positive and fabulous ways to share your wealth and increase your prosperity consciousness. However, anytime there is attachment, there are diminished positive returns. Detached tithing alone (from your first fruits) with the only intent being to show God you believe in abundance; to show God you know that the Divine within is your only source and supply, is the only giving/tithing/spiritual act that initiates the Law of Ten-Fold Return.

My suggestion is to keep giving as you feel comfortable, for right now. Then, work towards tithing 10% without attachment to how the money will be used to some source where you feel spiritually fed while continuing to support causes that you believe in with additional funds.

Can’t find a place where you feel spiritually fed? Look harder, it may be the little old lady on the corner that smiles everyday when you pass, it may be the author of that 200 word article that changed how you parent your children, or it may be the workshop assistant leader that shared her experience so boldly, or it may be your spiritual center, and it may even be a charitable organization (provided you make a distinction between where I’m spiritually fed and when I want this money to do a certain thing.)

Choose to give anonymously if necessary, in order to give freely without any attachment to the outcome.
Tithing is about giving and sharing from a positive intention place. However, there is a law that has been set in motion for thousands of years now. The Law of Ten-Fold Return works whether we realize it or not on the 10% of our first fruits equation.

The Universe will return to us in the same manner and perspective that we give from.

There’s no need to judge anything that you’ve done up until now as not good enough. However, you may want to look at the fear around giving 10%. If you fear that you won’t have enough, then you are keeping yourself in poverty consciousness.

Deal with the fear by expanding your willingness to trust in the Divine; by acknowledging your only source and supply is the big-U, God, the omnipotent Presence that is the sole provider of all things in your life.

Meditate and pray on expanding your ability to accept your inheritance and ask for guidance on how to ‘throw open the windows of heaven’ by tithing the full 10%.

For anyone who is feeling reticent about tithing 10%, try starting where you are and proceed from there.

When I was a starving actress in college and full of poverty consciousness, I didn’t feel like I had any extra money to give. However, I also knew that it felt really bad not to help the people who were worse off than me. I used to keep apples in my purse to give away. This was my way, at the time, of increasing my giving consciousness.

As I look back, I see that I went from apples, to coupons and other food items, to quarters, to dollars, to self-help tapes and books, to giving 10% of my unexpected income, to tithing after my bills were paid, to now tithing from my first fruits, 10% of my net income (which is the optimal goal.) If you are a solo-entrepreneur, it’s 10% of your gross income before your personal expenses but after realistic, required business expenses.

If you can make the jump to tithe 10% of your unexpected income, this will be a great eye-opener about the rewards of tithing. Set yourself a goal to give 10% of any monies that you receive from unexpected sources including any unexpected savings that you receive. Keep a log and give 10% of that amount weekly.

Record your thoughts, feelings and observations and try to give more each month until you are truly acknowledging your abundance by giving 10% of your first fruits every month.

Prosperity is your birthright. Accept it and claim it.

Take this for the essence of what it means:

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
- Malachi 3:10
