How To Put Movies On Your PSP?

Now that you have purchased you new PSP you will want to use it to its full capabilities. Watching movies on your portable play station is not difficult; but there are a few hardware considerations that must be in place before you can actually watch your favorite flick on the fly.

The first requirement is a device that will contain your MP4 (movie) files called a Pro Duo Stick. 512 MB is the norm and quite sufficient for this purpose.

Of course, you will want to have a DVD player installed on your system along with a DVD ripper as this will allow you to download the movie from a particular DVD onto your computer.

And, you will need to have a USB cable so you can connect the PSP to your computer.

The last, and some would say, the most important part is a conversion software program that will allow conversion of movie and video files to MP4 format so you can watch them on your PSP. However, technology has advanced to the stage that some DVD software includes the converter files as part of their bundled software package.

Once you have all the necessary components and software applications on hand, preparing your PSP to play movies can be accomplished with a few simple steps.

1. If you do not have the movie you want already installed on your computer, place the selected movie in your DVD player and activate your DVD maker. Click on extract (or rip, depending on your manufacturers specs). Provide location of where you would like to have the file saved. And save it.

2. If you are trying to load a movie already on the hard drive of your computer to your PSP, you only have to click on add on your DVD ripper, then designate where you would like the file to be saved to.

3. Once the file is saved to your hard drive, click on extract and/or encode located in the PSP video converter and then save that file. (If your DVD ripper/PSP video converter software contains the combined application as stated above, steps a,b and c can be combined.)

The Files are on my Computer, Now what do I do?

The correct format (MP4) for PSP movie viewing should now be listed on your computer. So now you have to complete the last steps.

4. All you have to do is connect your PSP to your computer via the USB cable, create a new folder on the Memory Stick (name it MP_Root), then make a sub-folder (100MNV01) inside the Root folder. This is where you will copy your selected MP4 files.

5. Launch the memory stick on your PSP and enjoy your flick.

Enjoy your movie!

PC Games Offer Endless Entertainment

As a way of relaxation and having loads of fun, pc games have evolved into a real industry. Online or offline, from simple flash games to modern wonders, the pc games have attracted an impressive mass of followers that are ready to devour the next achievement.

Nobody would have imagined 15 years ago that one would be able to interact with thousands and thousands of other people online with the means of an online game. That’s what technological evolution has made possible nowadays.

If you were to classify PC games, they would fall into more categories, each with its own distinctive type of playing. Although many of them ultimately need you to defeat the bad guys, the ways to do that are many, varied, and in different environments. You can do that anywhere and anytime, from ancient Rome to epic space battles in the different future.

FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS

They are also commonly called “Shoot ‘em up” because of the manner in which you need to approach the game. You have a 1st person view, meaning that you will see the game environment as you would if you were actually there. You are given many different weapons with which you need to kill the bad guys. Although there are many examples of good first person shooters available out there, the Doom and Quake franchises seem to dominate the market.

REAL TIME STRATEGY

In this type of pc game usually you need to build a strong empire with enough fighting force to overcome the enemy. It has 2 aspects, the battle military aspect and the economical one. Usually you need to harvest resources in order to be able to produce different military units capable of running a war. Common examples of this sort of games include Starcraft and the Warcraft series.

RPG

The abbreviation comes from “role playing game.” This is a game in which you start on a character that is weak at first and who gains experience as you progress through the game, by battling different monsters. With the help of the experience gained, your character becomes stronger and stronger, able to fight stronger monsters and enemies, and ultimately defeats evil, which is also the purpose of the game.

A relatively recent development of RPGs is the MMORPG (massive multiplayer online RPG), in which thousands of people fight online in a usually immense world in which you can do anything you want: fight monsters, complete quests, fight other players, and of course gain experience all throughout. Although it has not been the first game of this genre, the most acclaimed game of this type is World of Warcraft which has an impressive community worldwide.

There are many other types of games available out there, I just pointed out the most common of them: racing games, sport games, adventure games, action games and many other types of games form an impressive industry that has truly put the pc games in the first line of entertainment over the last decade.

Some Of The Popular Real Time Strategy Games

It’s an age-old question that will only get more and more intense in the coming year as the Xbox 360 is in full swing and the PS3 and Revolution release. Which is better? What system is right for me? I would suggest both systems if you can possibly do it.

Computer gaming is more expensive now days so you must make the right choices in the equipment and games you select. Computer gaming is best for Real Time Strategy (RTS) games.

Others are First Person Shooters (FPS), Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORG), Flight Simulation games, and Point and Click Adventure games.

Warhammer Mark of Chaos is the eagerly awaited RTS (Real Time Strategy) game by Namco Bandai. The game is fairly simple to get used to (after about half an hour you will probably be used to most of the basic controls)

Basically, its mostly drag and click but there are some useful rotating/zooming options (all explained in the tutorial, which is a must for first-time players) and if a quick view reset is required, all you have to do is tap the Space Bar on your keyboard.

Both the Empire and the Chaos campaigns are very similar, you move along a pre-determined battle path and fight battle after battle, meet and help a besieged town, duel an enemy hero and defeat and encampment of enemies.

Ninety-Nine Nights (or as its affectionately known, N3), is the latest in a stream of action titles from Phantagram, their most famous franchise being the mix between RTS and action, Kingdom Under Fire.

Here is the most complete list that I could gather on real time strategy games. In no particular order they are: Act of War, A Force More Powerful, Age of Empires series, Age of Kings, Age of Mythology, Alien Nations, Ancient Art of War, Armies of Exigo.

Axis & Allies, Battlefield Command, Battle for Middle Earth series, Battle Realms, Battlefield 40K, Black & White, Caesar III, Close Combat series, Codename: Panzers, Command & Conquer series (one of my personal favorites), C&C Generals, Company of Heroes, Conquest: Frontier Wars, Cossacks series, Dark Planet, Dark Reign, Darwinia, Dawn of War, DefCon.

Dune, Dune 2000, Dungeon Keeper II, Earth 2150 series, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Empire Earth series, Empires Mod, Europa Universalis II, Evil Genius, Field Ops, Galaxy Andromeda.

Great Empires Collection II, Ground Control series, Halo Wars, gemonia, Heaven & Hell, Heroes of Might & Magic series, Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, Homeworld 2, Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile, Imperial Glory.

Impossible Creatures and so many more I do not know if I will be able to list them all. Oh Well, there is only about one more paragraph of them left so I will continue. Wow, such a wide selection.

Others are: KKND series, Kohan series, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, Majesty, Medieval Lords, Medieval: Total War, Metal Fatigue, Myth series, Natural Selection, Mod Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, O.R.B., Outforce, The Perimeter, Pharoah, Populous series, Powermonger. Are you still with me?

This comprehensive list will give you many more ideas of what is available! More include: Railroad Tycoon series, Real War, Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Rome: Total War, Sacrifice Settlers III, Shattered Union, SimCity series, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, StarCraft, Startopia, Star Trek: Armada 2 (another one of my personal favorites).

Star Wars: Empire at War, Stronghold: Crusader, Submarine Titans, Sudden Strike series, Supreme Commander, Supreme Ruler 2010, Sword of the Stars, Theatre of War, Total Annihilation, Total War Series, Tropico series, Utopia, Victoria, WarCraft series, WarCraft III, Warlords Battlecry series, War of the Ring, War on Terror.

Warrior Kings: Battles, Wartime Command, Warzone 2100, WWII: Frontline Command, Z: Steel Soldiers, Zeus: Master of Olympus. Now try saying all that three times really fast!! I hope I have not forgotten any and I also don’t think I duplicated any so there you have it, the whole list.

Bingo Lingo: What You Need to Know Before Playing Online Bingo

What do “DIY,” “CMIIW” and “EAK” mean? Well to an online bingo player it’s obvious that they mean “Do It Yourself,” “Correct Me If I’m Wrong” and “Eating At Keyboard.”

Eating at keyboard? Now that’s one dedicated online bingo player! And besides, who really needs to know that? I sure don’t. Next thing you know, they’ll be telling me (by abbreviation of course) when they go to the bathroom.

Online bingo has been stirring up the nation with it’s addictive games and special promotions. Now feel free to meet some new people with your very own chat component and a special language to go with it. After all, you don’t want to go into an online bingo hall and not know the “bingo lingo.”

It’s amazing how many cyber-friends are found through internet bingo chat rooms. Its amazing to see how many people are playing who seem to have known each other for years. And, to think that they probably live on different ends of the country, or the world, and may share only one thing in common–a love for online bingo. Of course, what might be more important than a bingo bond?

First it was AOL instant messenger who coined the infamous chat language for all who used the program using acronyms like “LOL” and “BRB” meaning “Laugh Out Loud” and “Be Right Back.” Bingo has taken this acronym language to the next level with the help if its’ players clever terms put into three to five letter acronyms. OMG!

Of course, when a player is chatting online and concentrating on the fast paced internet bingo action, one couldn’t expect them to be able to type full sentences too! Not even the most experienced online bingo player can do that. That’s where the value of bingo lingo comes in.

With every chat-based game or chat program there is, of course, a specific chat etiquette one must follow to meet a new friend or two. The game of bingo is no different, and it even has its own list of etiquette terms and conditions.

According to play-internet-bingo, some obvious etiquette to follow would be not using offensive words and treating everyone in the bingo chat room with respect. Kindergarten etiquette anyone?

Surprisingly, many people still can’t follow that rule. There are other terms that players may not know of such as not impersonating other players in the bingo chat and welcoming the “newbies” or new players into the chat when prompted. All etiquette descriptions promote the making of new friends in online bingo chat rooms.

There are many different ways to say things in bingo language. If you’re leaving for a minute or two one could say the usual “BRB” for “Be Right Back” or the new online bingo acronym “AFK” or “Away From Keyboard.”

Many online bingo players will take a timeout from the action to cook dinner, watch a juicy soap opera scene, or take a phone call. Players just put their bingo game on automatic and cards are automatically purchased for upcoming games. Some players even play automatically while they are at work and check their results when they get home!

Imagine the excitement a player feels when he or she comes home from work or running an errand and sees that he or she has won a thousand dollar jackpot! It happens!

Saying “hello” and “goodbye” are different as well. For “hello” use “GD” or “Good Day.” “See you later” can be put using “TTFN,” meaning “Ta Ta For Now.”

One might say the beauty of this online bingo chat language is the simplicity and a lazy person’s ease at making conversation. And, we all need simple pleasures in our crowded and rushed lives.

Using bingo chat language is a quick way to say things without typing them out completely. But proceed with caution, putting a letter or two in the wrong spot could make your online bingo buddy say “GR,” or “Good Riddance” with a click of the mouse.

“IW2WBM.” That’s my bingo lingo for the day. Can’t figure it out? “I want to win big money.” That’s why I’m off to play online bingo right now! CUL8R.

How About Some Video Games With Your Sex?

There used to be a time when sex was just a gimmick that was added to video games to spice them up a little. Game characters could engage in not so graphic sex acts as a way to advance the game, bring down an opponent or merely as a diversion. After all, when most people think of video games they think of kids as the primary players. But when game designers soon realized that adult players are more than half their business they started to listen to feedback about what they wanted in their video games, and of course they wanted more sex in their Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PSP and Nintendo Wii games. The game makers then began to give the game players what they wanted and that was more sex. Now there are entire games and websites designed around the concept of people having virtual sex.

When the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was recently given an Adults only 18+ rating a controversy was immediately created over sex in video games. The game was pulled from the shelves of retailers who do not sell sexually explicit content in their stores. Take Two Interactive Software Inc., the company that makes the game lost millions of dollars and a stern message was sent out to those who would try to market sexually explicit games to minors.

Gamers were outraged as conservative groups went even further and lobbied for new laws regarding explicit sex and violence in video games. The long arm of government regulation had finally put its heavy hand on the shoulder of the video game industry and they did not like it at all.

One of the responses by video game designers to the recent laws regarding sex in video games was to take their sexually explicit games to the Internet where they would be free from any kind of restrictions or regulations. On the worldwide web the potential customer base is huge and there is no viable way to regulate the content. It is much like the Wild West out there in cyberspace, and there will not be a Sheriff showing up any time soon.

Sony Corp., Microsoft Corp. and Nintendo Co. Ltd , the companies that make the hardware for Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii games will not grant licensing to any software development companies who use sexually explicit material in their game content or titles. Critics have blasted them for allowing extremely violent content in their games for years while prohibiting graphic sex.

You may not be able to have virtual sex using Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii hardware, but there are plenty of companies that are willing to create sexually explicit video games that you can play on your PC while connected to the Internet.

A company called Utherverse Inc. created an internet game called Red Light Center that bases the entire game around having sex. This game can support thousands of users that can have virtual sex with each other in a virtual universe that is free of criticism and censorship.

Porn star Jenna Jameson has an online game titled Virtually Jenna that allows online users to have virtual sex with this world famous porn star.

Naughty America is a company that is breaking into the world of sexually explicit online video games. Already a major player in the world of online porn, they will soon also be grabbing a piece of the rapidly growing online video game industry. As far as they are concerned it is a match made in heaven. The video gaming industry in general grossed about 13 billion dollars last year and it is growing bigger every day. Two multi-billion dollar industries merging can only mean greater success for each party involved.

While sexual content has always been regulated on television and in films, with the Internet there is absolutely no oversight. The real question is how well can the video game designers regulate themselves so as not to fall too far down into the seedy world of online pornography. The bottom of the moral barrel is pretty low in that industry and it would be a shame to see the online video game industry turn away from creative characters, graphics and storyline in favor of sexual gratification as its primary purpose.
