Party Planning for a Homecoming Dance
A homecoming dance is an important milestone in a young person’s life. This type of party usually has a committee organizing and arranging every detail of this event. However, every student in attendance should be a part of the festivities. Tickets are sold for this style of event but most of the time this is not enough money to pay for decorations, food, drinks and entertainment.
The committee will need to organize special fundraisers designed to bring in enough money to plan a well thought out event. Fundraisers need the support of every member of the school. The group could complete this goal in many ways. A bake sale, a car wash or a garage sale are excellent choices to off-set the cost of the homecoming party.
Since this type of party is by ticket sales, no invitations will be needed. However, flyers and posters will need to be designed with the theme description and where to go.
The decorations for this event are located by the committee. They are usually the school colors, sports memorabilia and pictures of students and their achievements. However, a theme party could be anything desirable. Decorations could be found at any party supply store. They are a wonderful source for a theme party affair.
The food and refreshments should coordinate with the theme of the homecoming event. If it is a medieval theme, the food should reflect accordingly. The consumption at a high-school party will be plentiful. Various foods and drinks are required to keep each individual full and happy. There should be at least 4 people in charge of supplying different types of provisions for the student body.
Entertainment is a must of any homecoming party. A live band or an energetic DJ would be the life of the party. A stage should be located for the entertainment and a useable dance floor should be provided. Dancing and conversing are the primary goals of this event. Everyone should have some form of entertainment to suit their needs. Another good idea may be to incorporate video game machines for individuals that do not like to dance. Everyone paid a good sum of money to come to this bash, amusement that is plentiful will be ideal for every individual.
A homecoming dance is one of the main events in the high-school experience. Almost every person in the student body will join in the festivitiess. It is vital to have enough refreshments and entertainment for every member. This type of party is a fun outlet for the stress of daily life. At this stage every member of the body is frightful of college, life on the outside and what they will accomplish. This party is a time to unwind and enjoy the time they have left in high-school.
