Seminars: Which One’s Worth It?
Personal growth training seminars, self-improvement seminars or other enrichment seminars offered in nearly every city around the world on a daily basis give advice on how to make money.
Is there a science to getting rich? Well, that all depends on who you talk to. Many millionaires around the world follow theories and secrets to attaining wealth and personal enrichment without even realizing it. The short answer is: it’s possible.
The “Science of Getting Rich” (SGR) and “Law of Attraction” (LOA) concepts have been around since the early 1900s, and have gained huge popularity within the past few years. Several entrepreneurs have taken advantage of the science and turned the methods described in the popular book on the subject, and turned them in seminars.
These seminars offer an explanation of the Law of Attraction, which is the idea that if you can dream it, it can happen. If you want financial wealth and stability, you can have it. It just takes the power of positive thinking, self-awareness and encouragement.
One such seminar offers attendees a 180-page workbook that explains what the Law of Attraction personal growth program is all about, and follows guidelines introduced by Wallace Wattles in his book, “The Science of Getting Rich” published way back in 1910.
Of course, self-improvement or personal enrichment seminars out there don’t lack for applicants. Catch phrases like, “Learn how to change your future” and “How to attract the perfect partner” lure millions of people to seminars every year. People seem to be constantly seeking, better, faster and happier on a daily basis.
Believe it or not, there are even seminars on how to run successful seminars out there, so you have to be on your toes and know exactly what you’re looking for before you plunk down your hard-earned money to learn Self-Mind Control Power or “Tools for Success” that are offered by just about every Tom, Dick and Harry wanting to make a quick buck.
Some seminars don’t apply only to career and material wealth, but suggest the power of positive thinking every day to improve relationships with family, colleagues and friends. For many of these personal growth seminars, it’s more about changing a point of view than buying a product.
The philosophy behind the Law of Attraction and the Science of Getting Rich is spreading across the globe. Generally regarded as experts in their field, Jack Canfield and Bob Proctor have lectured from Australia to the United States, Canada and Asia. So does Silva Seminars, which offer personal growth training from New York City to Germany every year. And Ariel and Shya Kane, though they tend to focus on relationships between couples and families, have made sidelines into the business world.
The power of positive thinking and optimism can’t be bought, and these things lie within each individual. Everyone has the ability to access positive thoughts and feelings, but many people don’t know how to do so or just haven’t thought about it.
The same goes for the Law of Attraction, the Science of Getting Rich, the Silva Seminars and dozens of others. So many people have found that it makes a difference in their lives when they shift their perspective or change their attitude that they’ve written an abundance of information about it. Simply type what you want to achieve in an Internet search engine bar and you can find out how to change your life using the power of positive thinking.

Application and Perseverance
Without application and perseverance, if we rise at all, we shall-to use a common expression-” go up like a rocket and come down like a stick.”
Sydney Smith says: ” The prevailing idea with young people, has been the incompatibility of labor and genius ; and therefore, from the fear of being thought dull, they have thought it necessary to remain ignorant. It would go very far to destroy the absurd and pernicious association of genius and idleness, to show that the greatest poets, orators, statesmen, and historians-men of the most imposing and brilliant talents-have actually labored as hard as the makers of dictionaries and arrangers of indexes ; and the most obvious reason why they have been superior to other men, is, that they have taken more pains than other men.
” Gibbon was in his study every morning, winter and summer, at six o’clock ; Burke was the most laborious and indefatigable of human beings; Leibnitz was never out of his library; Pascal killed himself by study; Cicero narrowly escaped death from the same cause; Milton was at his books with as much regularity as a merchant or an attorney; he had mastered all the knowledge of his time; so had Homer ; Raphael lived but thirty-seven years, and in that short space carried the art of painting so far beyond what it had before reached, that he appears to stand alone as a model to his successors.”
Dalton, the chemist, always repudiated the notion of his being ” a genius,” attributing everything which he had accomplished to simple industry and accumulation.
Disraeli the elder, held that the secret of all success consisted in being master of your subject, such a result being only attainable through continuous application and study.
Newton, when asked by what means he had worked out his wonderful discoveries, modestly replied, ” By always thinking unto them.”
A great point is to get the working quality well trained. Facility comes with labor. Nothing can be accomplished without it. Continuous application will effect marvellous results in the commonest of things. It may seem a simple thing to play upon a violin; yet what a long and laborious practice it requires! Giardini, when asked by a youth how long it would take to learn it, replied, ” Twelve hours a day for twenty years together.”
When Taglioni, the great danseuse, was preparing herself for her evening performance, she would, after a severe two hours’ lesson from her father, fall down exhausted, and had to be undressed, spunged, and resuscitated, totally unconscious. Success was attained only at a price like this.
Less than half of such application devoted to self culture, could scarcely fail in insuring success. Progress, however, as a rule, is slow. Wonders cannot be achieved at once ; and we must be satisfied to advance in improvement as we walk step by step. It has been said, that ” to know how to wait is the great secret of success.” Sow first, then reap; and oftentimes we must be content to look forward patiently in hope ; the fruit best worth waiting for often ripens the slowest. ” Time and patience,” says the Eastern proverb, ” change the mulberry leaf to satin.”
The greatest results in life are usually attained by simple means, and the exercise of ordinary qualities. The common life of every day, with its cares, necessities, and duties, affords ample opportunity for acquiring experience of the best kind; and its most beaten paths provide the true worker with abundant scope for effort and room for self-improvement. The great high-road of human welfare lies along the old highway of steadfast well-doing; and they who are the most persistent, and work in the truest spirit, will invariably be the most successful.
Fortune has often been blamed for her blindnest; but fortune is not so blind as men are. Those who look into practical life will find that fortune is usually on the side of the industrious, as the winds and waves are on the side of the best navigators. Success treads on the heels of every right effort ; and though it is possible to overestimate success to the extent of almost deifying it, as is sometimes done, still, in any worthy pursuit, it is meritorious. Nor are the qualities necessary to insure success at all extraordinary. They may, for the most part, be summed up in these two-common sense and perseverance.

Integrity Is the Root of All Success
Many of you know that I teach the process, what you sow, you shall reap. It is a principle that is based upon whatever you do today will predict your future.
You can not dispute the fact, it is not fiction, it is fact, that what you do today will predict your future. Hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs fail because they try to force feed and shorten the success process by making some moves and decisions that are not full of integrity.
One of the most deadliest seeds that you as a responsible decision maker can make is by not walking in integrity. See integrity is a challenge for many of us who own and operate businesses. And for all of you who are entrepreneurs are business people and you have to make decisions based upon integrity.
Some people may not like you because of those decisions, but you are laying the foundation of integrity. I see, as you know, 97% of people at the age of 65 are dead or dead broke. I can tell you that they do not allow the 2-5 year process to build the foundation in order for them to reap the harvest of success.
Throughout the reaping season, which is the action season, you are going to have to make decisions based upon integrity. You have to ask yourself a very serious question, when those questions come across your desk for you to make:
Is this decision based upon long term success reaping integrity mindset?
If it is for the short term quick financial gain I forewarn you, you will reap something you are not going to want to deal with, but that is the process of one who shortcuts success.
Success as you know is very simply. It is Decisions + Actions = Results.
Decisions you make today followed by the actions you take based upon those decisions equals, equals means predict your results. Reflect on your level of integrity. Reflect on the results you have had and ask yourself I you like them. If you do not, spend time reflecting on your decisions and actions. If you love your results and there is no room to improve, Keep doing what you are doing. Otherwise, reflect on your decisions and actions. Journal or dialogue with people you trust.
Think about these words. They can be life changing if you let them.
So I want you to walk forth today and make sure that every decision you make today is based upon integrity. I do not know your heart, you know your heart, you know your decisions.
As I say, Find Your Why and Fly!

Potty Training FAQ
Potty training is one of the most important things to teach your child. If it’s not your first child you will know the “secrets” of successful potty training. If it’s not though, you are likely to need a bit of help. Here are the answers of the most common questions every mother has when trying to teach her child to use the toilet.
When the potty training should start?
Most children can be trained to use the toilet or a potty chair since they become 18 months old. However every child is different and you can try earlier. Some mothers start to teach their child to use a potty chair since the kid can sit. The key secret is to put it on the potty chair and keep it occupied until it urinates. Although little children cannot fully understand why they are asked to sit there, they quickly gain the habit to use the potty chair.
How to make my child sit on the potty chair?
This might be tricky especially for older children. Seating at one place might be quite boring for a child and it may be hard for you to make it stay on the potty chair long enough. Remember one thing never ever punish your child for not staying calm on the potty chair. This can cause a lot of stress and actually make the whole learning process more difficult. Make the potty chair interesting and funny by decorating it with stickers, ready your child a fairytale, bring its toys and play with it. Try to come up with a range of interesting activities that will keep its mind occupied. Of course if you see that your kid is reaching a point where nothing can make it stay on the potty chair it’s better to have a break and try again later.
What is the right age for toilet training?
Usually a child that is 2 years old is ready to start using the toilet. Although this age if specific for every child, there are some other factors that should be considered. Is your child able to control its calls of nature? Is your kid ready to recognize when it’s voiding? Is your kid able to walk to and from the toilet, to pull pants up and down, get on and off the toilet without help? Finally is your child willing to go to the toilet? If the answer to all of the above is positive, than you can start the toilet training.
What if my child pees and poops occasionally in its pants? Many parents come across the same problem. Although their child is already using the toilet or the potty chair without any problems, from time to time it “forgets”. Do not worry this is quite normal considering the age of your child. Te more you make it understand the whole process and its purpose, the easier it will become for your kid to avoid such situation. Read books about going to the toilet, watch videos and constantly explain and guide your child.

Why the Law of Attraction Doesn’t Work For You?
The Law of Attraction is a great source to use in every part of your life. However, if you do not use the Law of Attraction with its criteria you may find that it will not work for you.
Reasons for Failure in Practicing the Law of Attraction and How to Make it Work:
There are many factors that could come into play if you find yourself not being able to utilize the Law of Attraction in your life. Take a look at this list and see if there is anything you might be missing or need to work on.
No Goals: If you do not write down your goals, how will you remember them? You must write down your goals. This action in itself can help you understand where you stand now and where you want to be. This is an easy thing to correct and help you make the Law of Attraction work for you. If you simply try to remember your goals without writing them down you will find that they may not manifest physically for you. Writing them down is the first physical action of bringing your goals to realization.
Forgetting Goals: Another mistake some people make with the Law of Attraction is writing down their goals and leaving them somewhere in storage where they simply gather dust. You will most likely forget your goals in the first place. In order for your goals to bring you the inspiration and determination, you need to always keep them in mind, you need to read them regularly, and bond with them consistently on an emotional basis.
Taking No Action: What will happen with your goals and your dreams if you take no action? Nothing! Your goals will remain goals, and your dreams will remain dreams. You must take action on your goals to achieve your dreams. You must put in the work necessary to achieve your dreams, and accomplish each goal you have. Using the Law of Attraction you are changing your lifestyle in the way you behave, in the way you talk to yourself, in the way you think, and in the way you act. All of these things are a way of changing your particular lifestyle. This can be frightening for some, or difficult to change old habits. However, if you take no action towards your goals and dreams they will remain just that. If you want to change your life you must change with it. You must be the first person to say I want a better life for myself, and then take action to make those changes. Only you can take action to achieve your goals and dreams.
Thinking Negatively: Sometimes the negative can seem to creep in your mind no matter how hard you try to think positively. There is always a reason for this, and you can change your way of thinking to think positively. Sometimes negative thoughts can come from fear, or from low self-esteem, or from the belief that you do not deserve anything positive in your life. None of these things are true! You must think past these negative thoughts even if you are just faking it in the beginning. Think positively even if you do not believe it. Eventually, your subconscious will begin working with your conscious and you will believe these positive thoughts. That is all it takes. Well, that and a lot of patience with yourself. If you have thought this way for a long time it may be difficult in the beginning. However, you can accomplish what you want in life, you do deserve it, and you should not be afraid to make your life better for yourself! You can do it! You can achieve what you want in your life, but negative thinking has no place in your goals and dreams.

Why Am I Shy?
Working as a personal development coach, I’ve helped hundreds of people to overcome shyness and gain confidence and a healthy, assertive state of mind. But as we get started on the process, the first question people usually ask is, “Why am I shy?”
With a background in psychology and many years of personal development coaching under my belt, I could give you some extraordinarily complicated theory to explain your shyness, but I won’t. You see, the simple answer is, “You are shy because you have developed a habit of being shy.” That’s it.
I’m sorry to disappoint anyone looking for a more complicated or exciting answer. But the simple truth is that shyness is a learned response that becomes a habit by repetition, just like any other habit you may have, and in fact, it is no more difficult to change than any other habit.
Consider this (slightly silly) example: when you’re getting dressed in the morning, which sock do you put on first; your right or your left? Odds are, you have a habit of always putting on either the right or left sock first. This is an example of a simple habit, formed by common repetition and then performed mostly on autopilot for the rest of your life.
But what if one day you decided to reverse the order you put on your socks– you wanted to establish a new habit? What would it take to make this happen?
Awareness…
That’s right-awareness is all you really need to change the sock habit (or any other). But this requires you to pay attention every time you are getting dressed. In other words, no more running on autopilot!
Now this is the stumbling block that trips up many people who are trying to change a well-established habit, no matter if that habit is sock order or learned shyness! People don’t want to have to think about it so much-and who could blame them, they’re used to letting their autopilot handle all this and not giving it a second thought. Besides, paying attention to your habits is boring, right? Not Necessarily…
The key to paying attention to your actions, and changing the habit of shyness is…wait for it…”playing games”.
Playing mental games when you are in social situations is the fastest and easiest way to change the habit of shyness. One great example of a mental game (or “strategy”) that works well is modeling the behavior of someone you consider to be very outgoing. You do this by asking yourself simple questions like:
1. What would ___________do in this situation (fill in the blank with the name of the person you are modeling)?
2. How would ________feel in this situation?
3. What would _______think and say right now?
The person you model can be someone you know, or a celebrity you’ve never met-it really doesn’t matter. The important point is that this person must represent the opposite of shyness to you. Also, you don’t have to worry so much about the answers to the above questions; simply asking the questions to yourself calmly will start your subconscious mind looking for answers and you will find yourself gradually taking on some of the characteristics of this person.
Now some people will protest, “This is all well and good, but I want to be myself-I don’t want to imitate anyone else.” Don’t worry-you will be yourself. No matter how much you try to imitate someone else, you cannot help but be who you are. It is impossible to take on someone else’s personality-all you can do is affect some of their reactions and mannerisms. But the good news is, that’s all you have to do.
Modeling behavior can work miracles in your life, and there is absolutely no chance you will “become” the other person or “lose” your natural personality. Humans just aren’t made that way.
But you can certainly learn new habits of interacting with other people. And the more fun and “game like” you make this exercise, the better it works.
It you’ve been asking yourself, “Why am I shy,” try looking at it as nothing more than a habit. The simple but effective concept of modeling behavior can change this habit quickly. Just keep it light and keep it fun- you’ll be surprised how outgoing you can become using this easy strategy.

Law of Attraction for Network Marketing
The Law of Attraction can work wonders in your personal and professional life. It can be especially effective in your network marketing efforts. Many people can readily see how this universal Law can work for them on a personal level, strengthening their relationships and driving their success, but few take the time to see how it can actually influence their business practices and make their business take off. It does not just affect the goal, but also the path that is required to achieve the goal.
First, you should know just what the Law of Attraction is. It is a concept that is based on the premise that “like attracts like.” In other words, if you think positive, positive things will happen to you. When you are generating positive thoughts and attitudes, you are exuding a positive vibration and the universe responds to that. When you visualize and focus on what you want to achieve, you further strengthen your power through the law of attraction. You can make the things that you want from life happen for you when you maintain the positive attitudes and visualize what you want. When you apply this to network marketing, your success can take off.
The first thing that you need to do in order to begin using the Law of Attraction in your network marketing is to attain the positive attitude and outlook. When you think in a positive way, positivity will be drawn to you. Your positive attitude will, in turn, shape your actions and those actions will transfer to excitement and passion for what you do. This will be noticed by your customers. It is no secret that when you feel passionate and excited about your business or product, your customers will pick up on that excitement. When your customers are excited about your business, they will start spending money; they will invest in your company, product or service.
The next step in making the Law of Attraction work for your Network Marketing business is to set goals and visualize the desired outcome. If you want to set a sales goal, make is specific, then visualize it. Visualize and focus on what you want to achieve. Write it down or get some other type of visual aid and put it in a place where it is highly visible by you. Creating a Vision Board is a good idea. Look at it often and let it inspire you. Visualize and focus your thought on your goal. This will send out the positive vibrations to achieve your goal and you are on your way to success. Set a goal for a certain amount of traffic (for online business), or number of prospects (for offline business) that you target to have in a specified amount of time, or set a goal for getting a certain amount of conversions in a month. Then use the law of attraction to make it happen.
You can use the law of attraction to make your Network Marketing highly effective for you. You can’t touch the Law of Attraction, you can’t taste it or smell it or hear it, but it can be the most powerful tool that you have for your successful Network Marketing.

Bob Proctor: The Brain Behind the Law of Attraction
Self-improvement or empowerment is not a new idea to the 21st century. Actually, such ideas have floated down through the decades since the 1930s. Before that, motivational speakers and forums might have been called something else. Today, the Law of Attraction is the key idea that has encouraged millions of people worldwide to reach for and attain goals in personal growth, financial independence and productivity.
Bob Proctor, the Canadian-born founder of the Law of Attraction self-improvement method, has been teaching and instructing people throughout the globe how to obtain prosperity and improved personal relationships since the 1960s.
Although a high-school dropout, Proctor has always had goals. He was not born into money and did not live a pampered life. He experienced many of the same trials and frustrations millions of people do today, including a lack of education and a sporadic work history. As a young man, he read a book that literally changed the course of his life. That book was called, “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. It was the first book of its type that he had ever read. He followed it with works by Earl Nightingale.
Nightingale was earning quite a reputation in the 1960s, along with his partner, Lloyd Conant, founders of Nightingale-Conant, producers and publishers of a new wave of personal improvement media that seemed ripe for the plucking during that unsettled era of personal and spiritual growth and freedom.
Soon Proctor began to work for the Nightingale-Conant Company, and before long he became vice president, promoting the immensely popular culture the company engendered. Soon, Bob Proctor created his own seminars and began speaking engagements around the world. Since then, his speeches, workshops and uplifting and encouraging motivational materials have helped thousands of people reach for and obtain their own personal goals.
The popularity of self-help tools and motivational speaking has reached an-all time high as the 21st century ushers in more independent thinkers and business people taking advantage of global communications made possible by the Internet. Using tools that teach positive thinking, motivation and how to maximize human potential, Bob Proctor has created a program that teaches and uplifts people from all walks of life. Through his seminars and teaching materials, possibilities that were unimaginable before now seem possible for anyone who reaches out for help.
The greatest thing about Bob Proctor, says the majority of his followers, is that he doesn’t talk at you, but with you as he speaks about attaining unheard-of wealth, personal satisfaction and growth. Anyone who has ever heard Proctor speak to audiences of hundreds has experienced the enthusiasm and joy he feels for his subject matter. Proctor offers not only the tools, but also the methods needed to use those tools to their fullest potential in order to obtain the goals that people yearn for. Take the time to find out what the Law of Attraction is all about. You won’t regret it.

Smoking Cessation - 10 Steps to A ‘Smoke-Free’ You
It’s no secret that cigarette smoking is a deadly habit and that countless people suffer respiratory diseases as well as other ailments because of smoking. Furthermore, smoking also causes bad breath, coughing, and stained teeth - hardly things to impress people.
As such, it’s understandable that many people want to take smoking cessation steps and live healthier lives. Maybe you are one such person and are in the middle of a battle to kick the habit? Maybe you’ve even tried using a stop smoking drug and are wondering if there are other ways to quit smoking Well, look no further.
We’ve complied 10 ways to quit smoking, TEN TIPS that that you can practice as quit smoking aids. True, there’s no easy way to quit smoking but there are many things to do to combat the addiction and you will do well to at least try some, if not all of the following tips.
Smoking Cessation Tip 1 - Decide to Quit.
Wanting to quit is different from actually making a decision to quit. Declare it! Write a potential date for when you are going to quit, remind yourself that you have made up your mind about it. It all starts with a decision. The other ways to quit smoking will then come easier.
Smoking Cessation Tip 2 - Slow Things Down.
Smokers usually whip out their cigarettes the momen tthey feel the urge. The next time you want to smoke, slow yourself down and delay the process. Is there anything you can do instead of lighting up that very instant? Think of other things to engage in and leave your cigarettes alone for a while. This will help quit smoking.
Smoking Cessation Tip 3 - Get Rid of the #$%#$% Stuff!
Once you’ve practiced delaying the urge to light up, we suggest you quit smoking cold turkey. That’s right; just throw your cigarettes away. This will be drastic but it is a must. Get rid of your cigarettes. Throw away your ashtrays. Discard your lighters. This is one of the most important ways to quit smoking.
Smoking Cessation Tip 4 - Shake Things Up.
Rearrange your schedule so that your habits will loosen too. Eat at slightly different times of the day, switch your furniture around, and make your home different to what it was before. The mental effect is that you will acknowledge change, i.e., that things are different and you are no longer tied to the past.
Smoking Cessation Tip 5 - Distract Yourself.
The urge to smoke will still be strong, perhaps even stronger during this period. So whenever you fell like smoking, distract yourself with something - a movie, some gardening, a pet project, a jogging session. Just physically do something that will take your mind off the urge and onto something else.
Smoking Cessation Tip 6 - Carry Cigarette Alternatives.
You might want to arm yourself with candy, chewing gum, or even a toothpick. Whenever the urge to light up strikes, shove some candy into your mouth and start chewing instead of smoking.
Smoking Cessation Tip 7 - Celebrate Your Daily Victories.
If you get through a day without smoking, reward yourself with something - a favorite meal, a trip to the theater, a new book, a visit to the spa. It doesn’t have to be huge, just make sure you acknowledge your efforts with a prize.
Smoking Cessation Tip 8 - Bleach Your Stained Teeth.
Bleach your teeth and rid yourself of the discoloration that comes from smoking. A stained tooth is not nice to look at; imagine if all your teeth are just as ugly? This is another way to affirm your commitment to stop smoking. With tooth whitening, your smile will be better, your breath more fresh, your looks more appealing. Plus, you’ll be conscious of your teeth’s renewed pleasing look, making you think twice of smoking and discoloring them again.
Smoking Cessation Tip 9 - Think Positively.
Don’t think of what you’re denying yourself but focus on all the good things that are happening because you are quitting: better breath, better teeth, and better health. Think about the effects of quitting smoking to your friends and family too!
Smoking Cessation Tip 10 - Don’t Give Up!
It’s common for quitting smokers to lapse again and again back into smoking. If this happens to you, the key is to not give up. Continue with your smoking cessation steps and take stop smoking medication if necessary. You’re not expected to get it right the first time. If you fail and smoke a cigarette, don’t beat yourself up. Try it again. Continue to quit for as long as it takes. Good luck!
