Building Your Home Business Network

Once you have a home business going, you still have the most important job of all to accomplish, that of building your network of customers and/or clients. After all, without a network of contacts, you will not have any reason to have a business, will you? It doesn’t matter what kind of business you have chosen because in every business, whether it’s a product or service, there is a need for customers/clients.

There is no business, online or off, that can survive without benefit of networking. Even if you are a service provider of a creative nature, you need to network in order to assure that you will constantly have those who are interested in buying what you create.

For some people, the idea of networking conjures up the idea of going door to door or making phone calls to people they don’t know, but that is not the idea at all. In fact, the best networking tool is providing good service so that your customers will refer others to your business. Word of mouth is always a better sales tool than any other type of networking that you can do. Of course, even though referrals are your most effective network tool, that doesn’t meant that it is or should be your only tool.

Even with referrals, you need to do some networking if you expect your business to be successful and to continue to maintain success. That doesn’t mean that you have to get on the phone every day and contact people nor does it mean that you have to constantly surf the Internet to find others who are interested in what you have to offer. However, you do need to take time on a regular basis to perform networking activities, which may vary from contacting referrals to simply promoting your website.

The value of networking has been underemphasized in many respects, and because of that, many new businesses are doomed to fail before they are even out of the planning stages. However, you choose to network for your business is not the issue, but if you expect your business to succeed, you have to promote it.

Do not be fooled into thinking that once you have your client base, you no longer have to promote your business because if you accept that line of thinking, you will not be in business for very long. Customers are fickle, so they will not always buy goods or services from you. You need to have a backup plan for those times when “regular” customers decide to utilize the services of another provider.

Unless your product or service is unique, which is unlikely unless you are an inventor, people will go where they find the products or services they want at the price they want to pay. Always be prepared for these slow times by continually networking for new customers.

Co-Registration - A Source of Leads For Network Marketers?

Many network marketers feel bombarded by the tasks necessary to make money and build a business. They must focus on building a contact list, contacting the people on the list, creating effective marketing material, placing ads, and getting their website seen.

Co-registration is an excellent way for network marketers to ease the load of building their business while quickly building a profitable marketing list.

What is Co-registration?

Although everyone has seen co-registration in action, many people do not know what the word means. Co-registration is a method of generating opt-in leads by placing information about your offer on someone else’s website. Visitors to the site view your offer and indicate whether they are interested. You then receive the number of leads that you are willing, or able, to afford.

Co-registration is not the same as placing an advertisement. Think about the last time you responded to an offer or confirmed your subscription to a newsletter. You probably got a screen or a pop-up box with several other offers, each with a check box for you to indicate your interest in that offer. That was co-registration in action.

Benefits of Co-registration

Co-registration offers several benefits to network marketers. Among those benefits are:

* Affordability. You place an order for co-registration leads based on what you can afford. You decide, in advance, how much you are able to pay, and you receive the leads for which you have paid.

* Opt-in leads. The people who respond to your offer are people who have requested more information. They are people who are interested in what you are marketing, whether it is a product or a business. Co-registration can quickly build your list of opt-in leads, sometimes by the thousands overnight.

* Ease of use. With co-registration, you no longer worry about pay-per-clicks, optimization, or keeping your banner ads fresh. You are actively building your list without the need to constantly drive visitors to your information request form.

* CANSPAM compliance. The leads you receive through co-registration are people who have requested more information. It is not SPAM to send them requested information.

* Targeting. You can target your list by choosing co-registration leads related to your offer. For example, if you are selling chocolate, leads from a fitness site may not work for you, but leads from chocolate, candy and confectionary sites will.

Hazards of Co-registration

As with any other method of building your network marketing business, co-registration does have a few pitfalls that you will need to avoid.

* Too many offers. If the site that presents your offers is also presenting a long list of offers from other people, it decreases the chances of you being noticed. This also decreases the number of leads you are able to receive. Look for sites with small- to medium-sized lists.

* Price. Co-registration leads are priced per lead. This can run from a few cents to a few dollars per lead. The cheapest leads may not be the best for your business, but the most expensive may be way out of your budget range. Try to find co-registration sites that are within your budget while also offering quality leads.

* Quality. With every good thing, someone decides to ruin it in order to make money faster. With co-registration, there are those who provide outdated, low-quality leads. Typically, these leads are not people who have requested information, but are old names from a cheap list. Not only will they be a waste of your time, you may face issues with SPAM complaints. Shop around, and look for guarantees and customer feedback. Scammers will show up quickly on forums and websites for network marketers.

* SPAM complaints. While the leads are people who have asked for more information about your offer, they may not remember making the request. You may have a higher rate of SPAM complaints with co-registration leads. Use a separate autoresponder for these leads, and be sure you give them a way to opt out of receiving more messages.

Co-registration can build your list to thousands of names overnight, but you must know what to do with them. The trick to using co-registration in network marketing is to have a high-conversion offer ready for the leads.

Whether you are using a newsletter to lead into your offer or you go straight into your offer on the first email, you need to be ready. If you are, then you are on your way to using co-registration leads to build your successful network marketing business.

2 Simple Ways To Get Paid For Generating Leads

You’ve heard the saying “where there’s a will there’s a way.” This applies to lead generation too. If you’re strapped for cash, but still motivated to generate leads then this article might just make your day.

Any marketer worth their salt is laughing at this article’s title right now. You see, they are already getting paid to generate leads because their profits are far exceeding their advertising costs. Sadly, this is rarely the case for newcomers to this industry.

So let’s cut to the chase. You want some quality leads, and you want to know how get paid to generate them. Let’s begin.

Tactic #1 - Paper Placemats
You’ve seen them at your favorite restaurant. Sometimes they are plain, sometimes they have a map of the city printed on them with advertisements placed around the perimeter.

Here’s where you come in. Start thinking about selling advertising instead of buying it. You can easily sell advertising in these spots, insert your own ad for free, and let the restaurant owner place whatever ad they want in the center.

You’ll have a tidy profit leftover after you get done paying your printing costs, and the restaraunt will love you for giving then free placemats when they previously had to pay for them!

Yes, lead generation can be, and should be, simple.

Tactic #2 - Amazing Fish Bowls
The simplicity of this strategy may just blow your mind when you see how effective it is. You’ve seen the fish bowls at restaurants typically where you drop your business card and enter a drwaing for a free meal…or whatever the business sells. Guess what, there’s money in those fish bowls for you, and lots of it.

Let’s say you take over the fish bowls. The restaurant has their weekly drawing and you come along and pick up the leftover business cards. You then extract the contact information from each of the cards. Make sure you require an email address to win the drawing. Now you are building a contact list of the restaurant’s patrons! You keep the list and allow the restaurant to broadcast emails to their customers any time they like with daily specials etc in exchange for, you guessed it, the right to send your own non-competing advertisements to the subscriber list.

Once you’ve built a list for one restaurant you can easily sell advertising space to other local businesses hence again letting someone else pay you to insert your advertisement. You can easily build 100’s of contacts every week from a single restaurant using this method.

There are many, many ways to get paid to generate leads. If I had time I’d probably write down more of them! So get creative and start thinking about selling advertising instead of buying it. This minor adjustment to your thinking may radically change how you generate leads. Then eventually your primary business will pay for your advertising through profits and you wont need to do the extra footwork required by these methods.

Either way, no more excuses about lacking leads!

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Plain and simple. So long as you remain committed to your enterprise there are always ways to succeed.

Fire Your Boss - Your Job Is No Good For You!

Hey working stiff! Yeah you, with the aching back from working too hard and the puffy eyes from not getting enough sleep. Do you like being used and abused? Do you like slaving away your life filling the pocket of someone else while your pockets are always empty?

Such is the plight of the employed! Remember when there was a lower class, middle class, and upper class? Now there are just the rich and the working poor. Exploitation is the name of the game for the rich. People working for them just keep getting poorer and poorer because working men and women are denied proper compensation.

Workers get paid less and less so the boss can get more and more. Massive and ever increasing profit is all that matters to the boss. Workers are not cared about at all. If a machine could replace you then you would be replaced.

Have you seen your job go overseas? It is because paying you peanuts is not cheap enough. Penny paychecks with no benefits are the best they give you, but they don’t want to give you anything. According to them, you should just be proud to be part of their team, giving excellent service so the company can keep rolling in the profits to fill the big fat pockets of the boss. Work like a dog, you lucky dog! Then die broke like a dog! It is because we get treated like animals that 95% of all Americans die broke.

It is a sad fact that workers deserve better treatment than what they are getting today. They are making the American dream possible, not for themselves, but for their boss. Consider this, when the rate of inflation goes up but your wages do not, that means you are making less money year after year. Your job is taking you down into the gutter. Soon as the job has gotten as much as it can out of you, it will toss you away like trash.

Why cater to a demeaning job that does not respect you. In order to get the respect you deserve, you need an alternative to a job. You need to take care of number one. No! Number one is not your boss like you were programmed to think! Number one is you. Putting yourself first is the best thing you can do for yourself. It also makes you unemployable!

Unemployable is good. It shows you have the self-esteem not to be pushed around and told what to do. Would you be the master of your time, your money, and your life? If so, work for yourself. Run your own business. Get the full rewards of being at the top and in control. Have the leverage of tax breaks and receiving the lion’s share of money. Invest the money and make even more money. Yes! Your own business! That is what makes people wealthy!

How To Make Your Network Marketing Prospect Base Explode

As a network marketer, you know how important it is to drive traffic to your website. As a mater of fact, your very survival depends on it.

There is an often over-looked area of marketing that is ignored by many in network marketing. This area is offline marketing. While the Internet is a source used by many, there are also thousands of prospects that can be presented with your MLM business opportunity through offline sources. Here are eight offline strategies that you can use to expand your network marketing prospect, and, in turn, explode your business.

1. Use a small zip close bag and include, for example, the following in it:

- a business card
- a business opportunity flyer or mini flyer
- a discount coupon
- a mini flyer of current special

Hand our the baggies to bank tellers, retail cashiers, at your kids sport events, etc. In other words, everywhere you go!This is a quick and easy way to let folks know what you are about.

2. Print flyers with your contact information, your website address, and email address, along with any current specials you are offering. Then, contact mobile home park office, apartment complex rental offices, housing developments, etc., and ask for permission to leave flyers in their office or hand on tenant doors. You would also give the office employees a free gift or discount on your product or service.

4. Contact local bridal supply stores, bridal gown stores, caterers, tux rental centers, wedding DJ’s, etc. When contacting them, ask if you can leave your business card with them as well as a flyer for their customers to pick up.

5. Don’t overlook daycare centers! They are excellent places to contact and leave business cards and/or flyers. Make sure that for whatever company you represent, you find items that cater specifically to children or moms. Make sure your flyer clearly shows this.

6. Contact your local churches. A lot of churches hold spring and fall festivals, Christmas bazaars, plan special events around Thanksgiving, etc. Contact them about getting a table or booth. This is a very inexpensive way (generally less than $15 a table)to promote your network marketing business.

7. Connect with your local Chamber of Commerce. Many times they hold local business events that you can participate in.

8. Do you have a college in your town? If so, great! College students are always looking to lose weight, spend money, and for more ways to generate extra income. Remember, how broke you were in college? So, students are also great prospects for your MLM business opportunity.

As you can see, this is just a small list of endless strategies that you can use to market your business offilne as well as build a great MLM prospect list. Try one or more of these strategies to start off with, and watch your network marketing business explode!

MLM Training - What to Say When You Get an Answering Machine - Scripts Included!

One of the most damaging things you can do to your MLM success is call a good prospect and leave a bad phone message. Why? Well, you may have just blown your chance at continuing a relationship with a very qualified MLM business prospect! Continue reading to learn what to say and other valuable phone message tips.

You’re ready to call your prospect and ask him to check out your MLM business by: watching a video, listening to a conference call or attending a meeting only to discover that you get his answering machine.

What do you do?

No, you don’t freak out; you leave a message that conveys such confidence that your prospect will want to call you back the minute he hears it!

At the sound of the tone, leave your message, beeeeep. Uh, uh _ _ _ hi _ _ uh I was just calling um _ _ I’ll just try later.

That only happens when you’re not prepared. So you might as well get the proper MLM training and learn it now. Then, practice it so you’re never surprised by an answering machine.

What you’re going to read here I recommend that you rehearse several times and then call your own answering machine and leave yourself a message and listen to it.

Listen to how you sound; you may be surprised. Make corrections and do it again. Continue practicing until you can leave a confident message that sounds really good.

Generally, for a warm market person (someone you know), you can vaguely state the reason why you are calling and leave it at that. He’s your friend and should call you back. How ever you normally talk I suggest you keep it that way. Don’t suddenly sound like a different person.

Here are some examples:

Hi John, this is Tim, how are you. I’m calling to talk a little business with you….

Hi John, Tim here, give me call. I’ve got something I want to run past you….

Hi John, Tim here, …haven’t talked in a while. I’d like to catch up on what you’ve been up to and run something by you

Hi John, this is Tim. Hey man, something’s come across my desk that you may find

Hi John, this is Tim Sales, we’ve not talked in a VERY long time. Give me a call when you can, I want to hear about what you’ve been up to….

And if you’re normally goofy on the phone, by all means be goofy:

Hey John, did you see the Gators beat up on the Bulldawgs? I’m calling to rub it in a little (laugh) not really, I want to talk a little business with you….

Of course, with a cold market prospect (someone you don’t know), you want to be smart with how you handle the call; give yourself the authority in the situation, in a non-assertive way of course.

Hi I’m calling for John Smith. John, you filled out a questionnaire indicating that you have an interest in a business you can work from home. I’m calling in regards to that. I’d like to get to know you a little bit and find out what you had in mind to see if it’s a fit with what I have. Let me give you my number….

I don’t have a lot of examples on this one because this is always the message I leave. The only thing that varies is how I got his number.

I don’t recommend you leave long-winded messages nor very short messages: This is Tim, call me back.

All of those examples are the first part of the message. The last part of the message should ALWAYS be the same. Let me repeat that, the last part of the message should always be the same!

Here’s the last part:

let me give you my number, 888.888.8888. I’ll give that to you again, 888.888.8888. Look forward to talking with you.

Never assume he has your number.

Never assume he heard your number the first time.

Always assume your phone (or his) has a bad connections and the entire message didn’t go through.

Many times people leave me messages and they rattle their number so fast (because they know it very well) that I have to rewind the recording several times to hear it.

Do not leave anything of value after you give your number. The prospect may hang up after hearing you say, I’ll give that to you again. So if after the number you leave something like, I’m available after 7 which is very important information, your prospect may not get that because they hung up before it played.

These phone message tips have helped me strengthen communication with MLM business prospects because I have found them to be much more willing to call me back and to talk to me. Learn and master these scripts and always be prepared to leave a message!

Looking For A Work At Home Business Opportunity? Try MLM

There are many places online that you might find to work. Most of us are not happy with the lives that we lead, and most of this comes form not liking what we do for a job. There are many places where you can choose to work, but no matter where you decide to work though, you are still going to be working away from your home. You have to spend time at work and not with your family, and the commute might be getting you down. If you aren’t happy with your work, you might want to consider working at home through a work at home business opportunity MLM.

Multi-level marketing businesses, or MLM, function by recruiting salespeople to sell a product and offer additional sales commissions based on the sales of people recruited into their downline, an organization of people that includes direct recruits, recruits’ recruits, etc. This arrangement is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor as well as to an area or region manager, but in some MLM programs, there can be seven or more levels of people receiving royalties from one person’s sales.

There are many ways to find a work at home business opportunity MLM. You first need to do a search online to discover what things there are available for you to do online that relate to what you already do. You might think that finding a work at home business that is in a completely different field is a better option, but think again because a home business opportunity should be something that you can make money doing, and probably you have a lot of experience in the field you are already working in, and you can take this experience and turn it into a successful work at home business opportunity MLM venture, where you can make real money and make it from home.

There are many reasons that this might be appealing to you. First of all you need to keep in mind that by doing a work at home business you can truly have the freedom to work whenever you want, and to work from home in a way that is pleasing to you. You can give yourself plenty of chances to get as much work done as possible, and this will be something that you can do whenever fits you best.

For instance, some people who have a work at home business opportunity MLM tend to work the same hours as they would at a normal job, and some will tend to work other hours depending on what their family is doing and what is important to them when it comes to their family.

Another important thing that you have to consider when you are talking about a work at home business opportunity is that you have to be doing something that you love. Most of the time you can find this by focusing on the things that you are good at, and the things that make you happy.

If you can find a way to have a home business opportunity MLM that matches what you already love, you are going to find that you are partially there already. Most of the successful businesses are made up of what someone really loves and how they can make money doing what they love.

Even if you’re not ready to give up your day job you can still operate a work at home business opportunity mlm on the weekends, or even in the evenings when you have the time. Many people do this and end up reaching the point where their work at home business is making them more money than their day job. Start out by changing your habits to reading and learning about MLM businesses where before you would read the newspaper or watch t.v. This little change in habits will start a chain reaction that produces results and profits.

Succeeding Online In Network Marketing

Network marketing can help you achieve a good income and success. There is still some confusion as to just what network marketing is and how it benefits a business, but that can be easily cleared up. While generally associated with MLM businesses because the payouts tend to occur on several levels, network marketing is a generic term that addresses several areas of direct sales and MLM. In the interest of internet business, a person markets their product or service to others and signs on others to sell that product or service then both parties receive a commission.

Network Marketing is not a Pyramid Scheme

Some people confuse network marketing with a pyramid scheme. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Network marketing is a legitimate business, while pyramid schemes are illegal. Network marketing allows you to provide others with the opportunity to increase their wealth, achieve success and build their own business. This is a real opportunity to sell real products or services and make real money. On the other hand, pyramids are based on taking advantage of people and someone has to lose money in order for someone else to make money. While network marketing helps people expand and capitalize their own skills, talents and efforts, pyramids exploit people’s skills and talents and leaves them with nothing.

Why Internet Marketing Skills are Needed for Success

If you are going to have an online business and you want it to be successful, you have to market it. In other words, you need to drive traffic to your site and get sign ups. Internet marketing skills are easy, but do require a certain amount of good sense. As you work your marketing plan, you will need to tweak and modify it as you learn what works and what doesn’t. You will need to evaluate your own practices and even the marketing campaigns of other companies to get ideas. You will need to understand how internet marketing works to understand how it will work for you - and create your marketing plan accordingly.

Some key skills - traffic & conversion

Two key skills in network marketing are in building traffic and in converting visitors to customers. You want to find viable and legitimate methods of driving traffic to your website and you want to make that traffic relevant so that once it arrives at your site the visitors are converted to customers. These skills are vital to your success in internet marketing. This is what will drive your site’s success and increase your income from the site. There are other aspects to network marketing, but these are the key skills that you need to know and need to learn how to tweak and modify until you find a strategy that works for you.

Brief explanation of a few skills

There are ways to drive traffic to your site. Even something as simple as putting a link to your site in your email signature can generate traffic. If you create a blog that has subject matter that is similar to your topic, you can use it as a way to increase interest in your site as well as draw relevant traffic to your site. When these people are drawn to your blog because of the content, they will want to know more and are very likely to go on to your website. Other ways to draw relevant traffic which will translate to conversions is to post to relevant forums and newsgroups as well as on social networks such as MySpace and Tagged.

Master these for online success

The method that you use for your network marketing will be different with each product, service and customer type that you try to reach. Mastering just one type of network marketing is not going to be effective for long term marketing or for expansion. You can concentrate on one method of marketing at a time, but learn more than just one method. If you currently use social networking and forum posting as the primary method of marketing your site, try learning about blogging and article marketing as well. Niche marketing is another great way to promote your site.

At some point, you will likely find it necessary to invest a little money in your promotional methods. Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Engine Marketing are two very popular marketing strategies that do require a little investment. Play it smart and learn as much about network marketing as you can and you will find success and increased wealth.

So You Want To Try Direct Sales

Direct sales is become one of the ways that many are seeking to find their fortunes. However, many leap before they truly understand what they are getting into. There are a variety of approaches one can take in direct sales. First, we must understand that a direct sale is merely the delivery of products and/or services to the end user.

Marketing is the method one uses to get the news out about what you have available. We will take a brief look at some of those methods. You will have to choose which you will use.

One of the oldest is door to door sales. Many of us can remember the Fuller brush man, the Avon lady or the persistent vacuum machine salesman. There are some skills and techniques that must be developed to go out and knock on doors. Never the less all direct sales are based on this method. Belly to belly, eye-to-eye, communication was and still is the springboard that launches any sales. Without understanding how to communicate effectively with another person face to face no sale can occur.

Phone sales are merely letting your fingers do the walking. Selling is considered a numbers game. So with that in mind you can dial faster than you can walk.

Then there is direct mail. We send out lots of our little salespersons in the form of a well-constructed letter. In this case, we use words in print to get our foot in the door.

The internet or World Wide Web is another form of reaching out to touch someone with your sales message. It is much like a big sells letter delivered on your computer screen.

Newspapers and magazines are great ways to make others aware of your offering. You must make sure that your product is targeted to the proper publication.

Radio and television are powerful methods of getting out the word that your are in the direct sales business. However, It is expensive so you had better know what your are doing. In addition, your product must have mass appeal.

There are numerous articles, books and courses on how to use these methods to directly sale your products. All of them cover how to get the prospects’ attention, how to keep their attention, how to make a compelling offer, aimed to persuade people to choose your product or service over what your competitors are selling, how to call them to act on your offering and, last but not least, how to make the exchange successfully.

Keep in mind that your enthusiasm for your product will make others want to buy from you. Direct selling has become the ticket for many to a profitable home-based business. Ultimately, this is what direct sales is all about. So choose your method, get educated, and sale, sale, sale!

Automating Your Home Business

Running your own home business can be both a blessing and a curse. Truth be told, almost everyone has advice for how you should run things, react to situations, and how to spend your time and money. One common theme is to automate absolutely everything possible, using the reasoning that you will need to “get on with things” and grow your business. While this holds some truth… it is not entirely factual.

Any home business will have a front end, and a back end. Now, when you start your venture, you will begin to realize that everything takes time to do… and some things take even more time to get done right. Always have a vision of what your front end will look like: what will the customer see, what will draw them in, what is the initial offer, are the graphics matching the copy writing, is the offer attractive in appearance, and so on. Once done, this will likely stay pretty static - especially if it’s working to make sales! So, after it’s set - you are free to hand any small modifications off to be done by someone else… investing your newly found “free” time toward growing your business.

Now, to address the back end. Once your offer has been snatched up by hungry customers, you have the opportunity to offer a secondary product… this is your back end. Planning the delivery and execution of this offer is usually much quicker than the front end work. However, this still requires your own personal touch. The back end is the easiest way to grow your profits… you simply contact the customer with another, similar offer. Your cost to market and attract the customer is zero - as you’ve already acquired them as a customer. You simply want to match the customer’s desires with a product which you can supply… this cannot be automated, but the processes around sending the offer and processing the payment can definitely be automated. It’s the personality within the offer which can never be automated.

Automation can make your communication with the customer easier, and it can make the payment processing easier… this can be seen almost every time. However, the personal matching of customer desires with the perfect product… along with a superior offer cannot be automated - it require human feeling and emotion. So, yes - do automate what you can. But, after the automation is done, be sure to inject emotion and feeling into your business - as this will grow your business more than anything else possibly could.
